  • Karma is a boiche

    Karma means action, work or deed;

    it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).

    Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering.

    I bring this up because of the hate and ill-will the republicans had/have for president Obama.

    In their efforts to make him a one term president; block every good initiatives--they have essentially destroyed their party.

    This disunity among the rank and file is just beginning it's path of destruction. Lots more fall-out to come after the election.

            The Republicans can't lose the House and may even retain the Senate.

            As much as the national Republican party is falling apart, they have been beating the Democrats badly at the state and local level for about 10 years now. They control the vast majority of the state legislatures and that probably wont change any time soon.

              ...so how do you explain some states that are flipping and others turning 'pink'.....?

              There are clearly some shift imo. Take GA for example. Still are red state, but trending to blue......?

                I'm tempted to say because of you, but then you are a republican!

                  Yes there is a shift but the congressional districts are mapped to benefit Republican House seats. They are garrisons created by the Republican controlled state Houses to maintain power. Americans use a fancy name, gerrymandering, but its basically garrison politics.

                  Democrats also are less active at the state and local level. They vote heavily in presidential years but not as much in other years. Thats how a place like Ferguson, MO with 70% black population ends up with a city council that doesn't have many black members.
