  • For the 1st time in this presidential race

The bar has been set high for Mr Trump,he has to do exceedingly well i.e a knockout in this debate to stop the bleeding and move forward.

    Mission impossible.

The GOP and certain media talking heads and the art of lying

He is getting a lot of help from the talking heads. They have been untruthfully fostering a line that Hillary says one thing to big business and another to the general public. That she says one thing "behind closed doors" and takes a different position when speaking to the general public.

Take her record on regulations necessary to reign-in Wall Street excesses:
She has consistently been for such regulations even as she says Wall Street insiders are perfectly placed to lead on making effective good changes.

The talking heads report slanting their comments to suggests both position cannot run in lock-step. Isn't it not always the case that it is 'good industry insiders' who oppose the 'dead-beats' who often effect positive change...even if at times legislators and the public exert pressure. - E.g. Fire up public outrage, send criminals to jail, ban individuals from working in the industry or agitating for, and having passed industry regulations designed to provide 'better services'?

Take her record on trade agreements. She has consistently been for free trade...but as far as US interests are concerned, she has been consistently for "good trade deals" i.e. deals that benefit the people of the country.

Take her position on the mining of coal and its use in energy production. She has consistently acknowledged that like the horse and buggy main-stream mode of transportation went away with new technology so shall coal's use to produce energy shall eventually disappear. But she went further she went into coal country and told mining families that now is the time to move to new jobs and the introduction of those new jobs in clean energy to their areas.

--- The GOP has engaged in such actions of attack on Bill and Hillary Clinton before I came to this glorious USA. ...and I have been here through 7 Presidents' time in office - 1990 to present. They repeatedly lied about the Clintons making the lies take on veneer of truth.

      Karl don't insult our intelligence.

Hillary is a seriously flawed candidate. Only not as flawed as Trump.

        She has Pops

In the excerpts from her paid speeches to financial institutions and corporate audiences, Mrs. Clinton said she dreamed of “open trade and open borders” throughout the Western Hemisphere. Citing the back-room deal-making and arm-twisting used by Abraham Lincoln, she mused on the necessity of having “both a public and a private position” on politically contentious issues. Reflecting in 2014 on the rage against political and economic elites that swept the country after the 2008 financial crash, Mrs. Clinton acknowledged that her family’s rising wealth had made her “kind of far removed” from the struggles of the middle class.
