    There were also direct connections to Buster as a producer. Dennis Alcapone mentioned a recording session with footballer Allan 'Skill' Cole and late Tivoli Gardens strongman, Claudie Massop. He gave Alcapone striking, durable advice that fame does not last long, so he should make good use of it.

    Recently I found this interview that Rodigan did with Buster some years ago. Well worth a listen. It gives a good account of the origins of the Jamaican sound system movement and Ska.

    Prince Buster overcame some serious obstacles to achieve what he did, it is quite remarkable. His contribution to Jamaican music and culture is difficult to overstate.

        Islan thank yuh a million times , never heard so many good stories , love it .I cant thank you enough.Kingston , kingston my kingston ,nothing is as culturally rich in the carribbean ,it rivales the best cities in the world culturally.

          Yeah a history lesson for real. Fascinating stories, the man had his hand in the development of almost every aspect of our music culture. From local music production to sound system to artiste clash, he was there.
