Where is the support from the NBA, from the NFL and the rest of them?
Back in the day, it was the sportsmen, the most famous among us that led the fight, who were on the frontlines being arrested. Think Ali. Today, we stand for 5 minutes and read prepared statements and think that is enough.
The WNBA has not retreated since they started to talk about BLM. And I hope they stay the course, as much as they can afford to. A $70,000 salary can't compare to millions.
I am very disappointed. This fight for justice is real and the people who can do a little for it are too busy counting their money.
I am reminded that the NBA players, some of them, wore I Can't Breathe shirts last year in support of Eric Garner and other victims of police murder. They were not fined by the NBA, yet the women were fined for doing basically the same thing.
But wearing t-shirts and reading innocuous statements is not enough!
