  • Solar and Wind Power (For JA ?) : Storing The Power

ZBB Energy Corporation, headquartered in the Milwaukee suburb of Menomonee Falls, announced it had won a USD $2.6 million contract from the Australian government.

Australia will build a large demonstration facility that will use
the batteries to store energy created by wind and solar power.

ZBB stands for zinc-bromine batteries. Energy created by wind
and solar power is stored in these batteries until discharged by the
    user.

They already have windmills in ST ELIZABETH that supply power to JPS.

Well, not exacty. Several decades ago, Munro College had a wind turbine on its campus. In the late 1990's, a bigger, more modern one was installed. It has been in need of service for some time now, and is not generating electricity currently.

However, Wigton Wind Farm in Manchester, operated by Petrojam, has 31 wind turbines that supply the national grid.
