Jamaican-Americans who wanted to see parliamentary elections in their homeland will get their wish Aug. 27.
Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller announced the elections Sunday, ending weeks of speculation.
In South Florida, where she has a strong base of supporters, the announcement came as good news.
