The thing is that the LGBT flag transcends national boundaries, so presumably there are some people in JA who would identify with it... just want to point that out; it's not quite a mango and mango comparison, but I understand the point you're making.

Laws: the system of rules which a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by the imposition of penalties.

The Laws of the country make it illegal to practice certain forms of Homosexual relations.. Therefore the country trying to regulate these actions..

A Foreign State raising a symbol that is in direct conflict to this is disrespectful to "the rules Jamaica have in place to regulate the actions of its members"

That's why they would not do this in Saudi Arabia.. for example..

How hard is this to understand ?
"Violate, disrespect"; splitting hairs. If she feels that strongly about, rather than sounding like an idiot on tweeter, she should have sent a letter of protest to the State Dept requesting an apology or ask that the ambassador be brought in to Jamaica House for a rebuke. Isn't that how these things are usually handled. She sounds more like a rabble rouser than a highly placed cabinet appointee.

Pretty lady like the one in the other P both needs to engage brain before tweeting. Personally AG should not think they have their own opinion. The issues is she don't seem to know that embassies reflect the home country regardless of where they are so they can fly their flag any which way. Secondly who really cares as AG she should show vision on common sense.. it is not a barber shop argument.
