True, although I am not sure how often that happened. For my high school there are situations like repeating 5th or being accepted to 6th form where they would demand payment of outstanding fees for consideration, but I don't believe they would just tell a 3rd former that he has to leave school until he paid up.

The system does need standardization, but I understand the concern some principals have.

Only a few it will affect negatively. The case they should be making, Is it be sustain over a long period? knowing government how they like to cut and devalue dollar but I don't hear them making that case.

One kid absent be cause of such policy is one too much. The fact is there also have to be some accountability as to what the user fee do and what is the standard?

She is more likely to get 3k from more parents than 10k ..... And so as I said my sons high school includes a fee of x towards the foundation .... Maybe more schools could do that and at an amount that would be easier to collect ..... 'School Building Fund'...

Well, based on what I am hearing, the new approach has worked.

what about it wasn't going to work? Some schools were asking for as low as 5000 per student and now getting more, a lot of these are rural schools and inner city schools. Some schools needed more but I these school will get a lot of support.

I hear the Minister say he want the schools to make their finances public. They should be.
