It's clear that Bernie wants something. The Clintons on the other hand are willing to go all the way (thus mitigating his demands when the time comes). I think the Clintons should start signalling Bernie that they want to parley (this way the can unify the party and face Trump) This theatre is different from the one with Obama. My opinion.

Bernie is 'Berning' Hillary at the polls because people are voting for him. Hillary will be the nominee but she needs to offer Bernie the VP spot as soon as soon as the California Primary results are in. A Clinton/Saunders ticket may not be want the establishment wants but it is what the people want.

She can win without Bernie on the ticket but she cannot win without Bernie supporters. If Bernie supporters believe that they he was treated unfairly then they may decide to stay home.
