  • Bernie Sanders has made a useful contribution to

the Democratic primary process, and has also provided some light entertainment along the way.

However its now time for the Democratic National Committee to tell him to sit his socialist a$$ down and clear the way for Hillary to take on the Trump. Give him until California and then its time to drop the mic and exit stage left, far left. . We need to get Obama out on the trail soon to put down the rabid dog that is Trump which he has shown a talent for doing. I think he is hesitant to do that with Bernie still pretending to be a viable candidate.

I would suggest that he "suspend' his campaign like the others, just in case the Feds come for Hilary and her cronies at the last minute. In such a situation I would still prefer Biden but I guess that would be too much for the Sandernistas to bear.

Looks like Kasich is ready to call it quits as well. I am sure he got some pressure put on him today.

Are you hearing Bernie? It was a fun ride while it lasted. Walk away with your head held high.

He is coming across as a miserable old dude right now .... unfortunately Hillary have to handle him with kid's gloves because she wants his supporters.

Agreed she does and no he won't.Bernie knows his campaign is to keep her left as much as he can and he has ,if she expects to get reelected some of his platforms will have to be implemented.

But what better way to ensure this is done than to include him on the ticket? Stranger things have happened.....I mean for gosh' same TRUMP is the presidential candidate, seriously?

I would love to see a Hillary/Bernie ticket with Hillary promising to implement some of Bernie's socialist ideas. However, Bernie does not want any VP offer right now because he believes that he can stop Hillary reaching 2383 pledged delegates before the convention and he is probably right. Furthermore the e-mail server thing is still hanging over Hillary's head. Trump is going to make a deal with the GOP establishment (except the Bushes,) and then the GOP is going to go after Hillary's head using the e-mail server.

Hillary has 2200 ,Bernie isn't trying to stop her, its all about his agenda being heard and accepted by Clinton. She must accept some of his proposals if she wants some of his voters.

I agree, he knows he has no chance of winning but as long as he is in the race he has a video and mic and an audience to sell his agenda to.

I would expect that Hillary will address some of his concerns in her policy proposals, even though she knows that his biggest ideas will be stillborn.

Perhaps the best thing Hillary can do is come up with a practical plan to save Obamacare from collapsing as the large insurance companies are gradually pulling out of the exchanges. It is a serious issue that will be more in the news as peoples ACA premiums skyrocket later this year. Maybe a single payer system is the only solution that can work, and those on the left would be happy to see something like that as the successor to what is in place now with the ACA.

But he is trying to stop her. Why else would he be talking about standing a better chance against Drumpf?

What else is he going to say? He has to pretend that he has a chance to win just like how Kasich was pretending he had a chance for the past 2 months when clearly he had none. After Cruz dropped out and he was about to be totally ignored he realised it was time to pull up stumps.

Not quite. Hillary has 1683 pledged delegates and 522 super delegates. Sanders has 1362 pledged delegates and 39 super delegates. There are 1114 pledged and 36 super delegates still available. The difference between Clinton and Bernie is 312 pledged delegates and California alone has 546 pledged delegates still available. We know that the Super delegates are going to stick with Hillary but if the e-mail thing blows up them they can jump ship.

Yes but Democratic delegates are assigned proportionally not winner take all, which means unless he is winning the remaining big delegate states like California and New Jersey by 80/20 margins he can't catch her. Presently he is trailing her in New Jersey by double digits and California by single digits.

The only thing that could make Bernie win is a Hillary doing a perp walk. Not impossible but very unlikely.

That too is my view...and what better way for them to consummate that union than by being on the same ticket...it's win win. If Hilary gets impeached the. Voila ... Bernie is next in line.

He is not trying to catch her in pledged delegates. He is trying to stop her reaching the magic number of 2383 pledged delegates and force a contested convention. Remember that it will be Bernie and Trump versus Hillary until the Democratic primaries end. Watch the ride.
