PNP candidate promises major university district in St. Elizabeth

National Party candidate for South East St. Elizabeth, Norman Horne, is promising to convert Malvern in the parish into a major university district.

According to Mr. Horne, with offshore education becoming big business and Malvern having the sixth best climate in the world, the area is right for such a development.

He said the funds from the venture would ensure that every student in South East St. Elizabeth is guaranteed tertiary education.

Mr. Horne claimed that if the General Election does not go in his favour, he will still press the government to proceed with the development.

So him have two education project to work on. Putting pit toilet in all schools in his area and now his UWI plan.

If him win I hope he doesn't go in hiding.

It's almost there already! The area has some of the finest institutions in Jamaica - Hampton, Bethlehem Teachers College and BB Coke High School (one of the best non-traditionals). Oh, I almost forgot - Munro College.

Funny ... if he was still a JLP candidate we'd be hearing its just another election promise.
