  • Will they be allowed to play ISSA sports?

These opportunities, according to the release, include structured programmes being offered during the day or afternoons in schools and other training institutions, the Registered Apprenticeship Programme and other work-study initiatives offered by the HEART Trust/NTA, the Jamaican Foundation for Life Long Learning, as well as the National Youth Service (NYS).

The current rules do not allow it if

the student is older than 19!
As I remember it, all ISSA sports have age restrictions.

GSAT @12 years + 5 years =17 years old in 1st year 5th form. This new arrangement allows then two more years. Will the extra two years be consider as 2nd and 3rd year 5th form or as lower and upper 6th form?

Please see what I said when I responded to your question on whether or not those in 'the extra-2 year classes' could represent their schools in ISSA events:

The point being some of those students could qualify as there are times when 'young kids' (=17 year olds) graduate Upper Six! ...so if such a kid from that group 'stayed in school', once qualified on age and ability would have met his/her school's and ISSA's age guideline.

As it pertains to your new question 'designation of class name'?
        Haven't a clue!!!
