the proposal of lowering the voting age from 18 to 16. Amazingly one speaker indicated that "at 16 an individual cannot make an informed decision and they do not understand the functions of gov't."

Now, the speaker may very well be right, but isn't that the norm for the Jamaican electorate? People come up with all type of idiotic myths when it comes to voting. The 16 year olds should feel at home then.
