The Jamaica College Old Boys Association of New York wishes to congratulate the Jamaica College Robotics team for their historic performance at the First Tech Challenge competition - East New York regionals, over the past two weekends.

The team will now move on to Scranton, Pennsylvania for the East, Super Regional championships, March 18th to March 20th, 2016 at Scranton University.

Special thanks to the various alumnae/alumni associations and members of the Diaspora who came out to support.

Here are the results of the matches played and awards received this past weekend:
Match 1: The Team lost after getting 77 points to the opponents' 104
Match 2: The Team lost after getting 3 points to the opponents' 89
Match 3: The Team won after getting 209 points to the opponents' 87
Match 4: The Team won after getting 193 points to the opponents' 157
Match 5: The Team won after getting 161 points to the opponents' 115

They were nominated for the Motivate award and were the 3rd place Inspire Award recipients

The Inspire Award is the 'Holy Grail' of the Robotics Competition.
This judged award is given to the team that truly embodied the ‘challenge’ of the FTC program. The team that receives this award is a strong ambassador for FIRST programs and a role model FTC team. This team is a top contender for many other judged awards and is a gracious competitor
