Seven Jamaica Labour Party supporters were shot yesterday evening shortly after 7 o'clock during an attack by gunmen in Canterbury, St. James. A teenager is among the injured.
Head of the St. James Police, Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor, told RJR News that the individuals are aligned to the JLP candidate for St. James Central, Heroy Clarke. He explained that the group had stopped at a shop for drinks when a silver car drove by, from which shots were fired. Two of the seven persons are considered serious.
