  • Unlawful Possesion of Your Own Money?

Can someone explain unlawful possesion of your own money?

Does it mean that you did not pay income tax?

Does it means that you got it by illegal means?

    'Zekes' back in court

Former Matthews Lane strongman 50-year-old Donald 'Zekes' Phipps, who was convicted last year of double murder, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Phipps and his common-law wife, 48-year-old Yvonne Sailsman, were ordered to return to court on September 12 when they will be tried for unlawful possession of $18 million.
The money was allegedly found at a house in Havendale in May 2005 during a raid carried out by the police. After a Home Circuit Court jury convicted Phipps in April last year of double murder, Justice Horace Marsh sentenced him to two terms of life imprisonment.
The same type of thinking that created a problem cannot be used to solve the problem.

I suspect it is along the lines of how the money was obtained...
