So he did not slip her a mickey? If he says to her take this it is Spanish Fly and she takes it and then they have sex and she aims not to remember ... What is he guilty of?

Xactly,if he says it will bring out the feak in her explicitly telling her the sexual ramifications , without saying its a drug is he guilty of rape ? What if he said its just an aphodisiac to be ambigous.

But the claim is that he didn't say it was Spanish Fly or any kind of sexual enhancer, he said it was something to relax her.

Relax in what context ? ...to me its all speculation .....what if she agreed to be relaxed with a glass of wine, then why not the ambigous drugging ....before the expected agreed act.

2nd how many of these accusers ,are going to be shown up , money seeking, previously in a relationship with Cos in this trial ?

2 things I cant get , they claimed to be raped at a time when white privilige was at its zenith, them saying who would believe them over Cos at that time or those times, hasnt diminished much in terms of believability, white women much older, instead of younger......hmmmmmmm ?

Many of the accusers are not very credible but I have read enough of what he admitted to in the deposition 10 years ago to conclude that he is a very sleazy character. In one case he said he wasn't sure if the woman was in a state to consent to sex. That is close enough to the line for me to believe that if given the opportunity he would cross it.

The worst part is that the guy had become such a moralist in recent times. It's unlikely the charge will stick but more sad is seeing someone who so many people looked up to now reduced to this.

I am staying far from the debate as I have not followed the background nor developments so any opinion I have would be based on pure speculation... BUT why do you say he is entitled to "it"...by "it" I take it you mean de woman punanny? Am I missing a tone of sarcasm, or do I misread and misinterpret. Seeking clarification.

That's it isnt it? The moralist angle .. Does it diminish the message though or is it just out and out vindictiveness and if so by whom?

It does diminish (rightly or wrongly) the message, unless of course the messenger is perceived to be a rehabilitated offender who is now crusading against his/her prior transgressions. So I see it.

As I-man says, it is sad to see Cosby come to this. It will unfortunately taint his legacy, merited or not. O.J. Simpson comes to mind.

Peter ,it means his attitude of being a hypocryte, reprobate, sleeze bag,its his personality that only he can define,it doesn't mean what you stated ,the thing is if he is entitled to his behavior at the time ,it calls into question the context I.e thiers, the times socially, environment, mood, etc etc and of course the moralist angle....if Cos is a sleaze bag etc shouldn't we examine his accusers in the given context of their roles esp in the movie industry.

So you're saying he was entitled to take whatever punanny was at hand? I'm not quite clear whether you're saying he was or wasn't. You stated earlier that he was...or that's how I read it. Personally, I always thought asking politely for a taste of the waist was and is the way to go, and that SHE was ENTITLED to refuse the request. Those days for me though are long past.

Anyway, you're saying then the entertainment industry has its own separate morality and social norms. Ok. Unfortunately the law doesn't make a distinction. His lawyer will have to as you say, question the credibility of the accuser(s) as she would do in any defence of this nature.

I can only wish them all (accuser and defendant) luck. Everyone deserves justice. As I-man says it is sad to see BCosby in this situation, regardless of whether it is his own doing or the result of a conspiracy.

He is entitled to his behavior as you are ,how do you equate that with rape, tekking it ? all i ask is that you look at his accusers' entitled behavior in the context of the times and enviroment,my response was to island calling him a sleaze bag and hypocryte on black social issues ,keep in mind Cos ran with Heffner and the playboy bunnies, the cosby show in my opinion doesnt define him as a person.
