I have very special admiration for the Herman J. Russell Co.
A major reason why these Black men are successful-- is because they operate without a 'chip on their shoulder'. They did it in the face of lots of racism and bigotry......................
Can't help noticing that if you want to get lots of bickering and display of self-righteousness, just post on what the white man has done to hold us back. ..or topics along the line.
The only time TRUTH will hurt you...is if you ignore it long enough
The simple truth is you have no idea what kind of struggles HJR had to confront and how he confronted it. We all do what we do in the "face of racism and bigotry". The fact he was successful does not mean he was any different from anyone else who called out racism when they saw it and moved on.
I can bet HJR knew fully well what the "white man has done to hold us back". He was a civil rights leader in Atlanta, so he would have known. Recognizing what the white man has done could be the very thing that motivated him to great success.
The difference between you and HJR is HJR did not forget where he came from.
