Several contradictions between the testimonies of a JDF official and a senior member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force surfaced today at the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Warren Turner, faced strong cross examination from attorneys and the Commissioners as details of his account of what happened in Tivoli Gardens did not accord with that given last week by JDF Major, Marlon Kennedy.
DSP Turner and Major Kennedy were working together at the time of the operation.
The plan was for Major Kennedy to mobilize his soldiers in Sector Two of Tivoli and take control of the area.
DSP Turner would then move in with his men to conduct house clearing exercises, but not before Major Kennedy called him.
Major Kennedy testified at the Enquiry last week, that he called DSP Turner at around 5pm on May 24, informing him that he could move in.
But today, DSP Turner testified, that Major Kennedy called him at 8:05pm.
