Some yes, but step back and look at the recent fervour.

It is a just cause, but certainly not a priority, like the hot button we saw recently. It is actually more for THEM to clear their conscience. We should use our history to make us stronger and wiser and KNOW our own self worth.

I think we do agree if you step back and look at the larger picture.

I am not condemning it, but I do see many sliding into a pitfall. If some of that energy was used to make us more solid, we would command even more respect and would not be so wryly dismissed. Better to negotiate on our feet and not on our knees...M. Manley.

Wrong answer, Willi. If a bloc of countries were pushing the issue, how does that make us look like a beggar nation?!

PJ's letter was well-written and timely. Does it suggest we should drop the logistics hub (), kick the Mexicans out with their hotel plans, and forget the STEM push? Can we walk and chew gum at the same time?!?

False equivalence. Let's agree to disagree.

PJ letter timely? You have strange timing. LoL

        Pure wagonism dat.

Walk and chew gum? Can we learn to crawl fuss?

and so what is being laid out is the evolution of the movement and the argument, it is never going to a thing where we come out so strong an argument that they immediately say yes, much like the civil rights movement and any movement of consequence, it has to go through teething. castro lost several battles before he won the war against batista .... many were murdered in the civil rights movement..which began as a minority voice until ....

The diff is that we now have our destiny in our own hands, as compared to civil right time when they were effective under the thumb of another.

If other people/countries can prosper after their independence, what is our excuse? Where should our MAIN focus be?

How can I worry much about others tell us us sorry for dem granny and grampa sins, when our own preside our current funk, that they largely created and are totally unrepentant about? Even worse, why some of that energy not used to overwhelm our current downpressors and bootsrap out of the madness we find ourselves in?

We are not effectively a functioning part of the global ecomomy, due to our actions and inactions. We not even at the Expo which China paid for (so would have been free of charge to us) and the theme was about agriculture. We should be bidding to HOST a minor Expo (the biannual one...not the main one every 5 years) as that would have been a MAJOR filip to the Mobay economy. Does anyone here realize that Haiti hosted a major one? Yes, Expo 1949 and yes they were in Milan this year!

            We are in the wilderness.

there are many things we can and should do and seeking to right historic wrongs is ONE of them, not the only one but it is.

Food for thought , if the people could directly elect its P.M ,would this and other odious deeds be proposed to John Public ?

You see the trap we are in , people vote party 1st before they vote Jamaica and the party votes party 1st before they think about the nations interest ( to sum it up, its all about eating a food)

This antiquated westminister system is killing us , i am convinced its the number one reason we creep and beg as a nation. It doesnt exhibit progression, dynamism and accountability, its all about begging for scraps.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.
