3 card government going to raise money from selling the current prison lands and also turned them into green space at the same time? Which investor going to build these green spaces?


•The balance of the funding for the new prison will have to be identified by the GOJ and could include proceeds from the disposal of the Tower Street Correctional Centre and St Catherine District Adult Correctional Centre.

•Downtown Kingston will have the opportunity for a large greenfield redevelopment on the thirty acres of waterfront land now occupied by the prison. A similar opportunity for redevelopment would be provided in Spanish Town.

Food for thought , Jamaica has a 14 to 16 % unemployment rate thats about 300- 350 K individuals,they just decriminalised ganja,so a sizeable portion of the prison industrial complex budget has been cut , so who are they going to criminalize at home to continue along that failed policy of unemployment leading to crime or better yet criminalization of the weed ?

Our prison budget run into the billions in Jamaica currency , has anyone argued savings , how that money should be spent? Here comes the slave master with his plan to repartraiate Jamaicans raised from birth or early childhood in a british culture back to a land(Prison) they know nothing about culturally , except songs and 2nd hand stories from family or friends of how it use to be when they were growing up in Ja.


Is this the way they plan to deal with the unemployment problem ?


If any an issue to vote out the PNP , this is it , even for the clueless alternative- (JLP), for once in along time the JLP looks attractive.
