Elders say PNP must make use of Hanna's national popularity

THREE veteran members of the ruling People's National Party (PNP) are peeved by what they believe is the unwarranted pressure being placed on Member of Parliament for St Ann South Eastern, beauty queen Lisa Hanna.

The three, who spoke on condition that they are not identified, want Hanna to be, instead, encouraged to prolong her life in politics and project what one sees in her as "uncommon talent and ability".

The popularity tag that the veteran referred to was recent opinion polls which placed the minister of youth and culture high on the list of politicians who enjoyed favourable ratings nationally. She has been thrown in the top four alongside Leader of the Opposition Jamaica Labour Party Andrew Holness, Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, and Finance and Planning Minister Dr Peter Phillips.

Peter Phillips was duped into not doing anything about the sliding dollar prior to it reaching $115..,he thought the slide would have been halted upon reaching that magical number pulled out of thin air by the head of the IMF,Mr Thwaites isn't exactly the quintessential minister of his designated portfolio, they are all failing..
Lisa inherited the problem of abuse of children awarded to the state, and she ruffled a few features bringing those abuses to the forefront. No doubt, those with vested interest ..vehemently oppose her,and those are people of great influence.

Lisa stays; she's pivotal to P's win. Anything else is signalling a silent coup.

How was he duped Rocky?? For god sake he is the finance minister. Stop making excuses for it. Even little me coulda say it 3 years ago on this forum.

Excuses, excuses. They have been there four years now. All Dr. Phillip had to do was look on the history of the devaluation of the Jamaican dollar and see it plain as day. He was there in the cabinet in the 90s so he had all the experience he needed.
