  • Election night in T&T

The polls just closed at 7PM in Trinidad instead of at 6PM, after being extended for an hour owing to flooding in POS and the ensuing traffic jams etc. So to facilitate voters they added an extra hour. However, the same was not done for Tobago and of course there many folks see that as a "diss" to the sister isle.

Anyway, we'll see if there is regime change or not. I didn't vote; the proverbial rock and hard place choices prevail.

The enemyof my enemy is my friend, but I doubt in the end that will make a difference. She wasn't a regional figure,it will be interesting to see what,if anything, she will do in the coming few days.

PNM won in T&T, Jack lost his seat.

Peter, a calm election. Maybe we can learn something or two about elections from our cousins.

The third party, COngress of the People (COP) was the catalyst in Kamla's United National Congress (UNC)victory last time.. but they fell out over many issues during the term, and PNM now back in power. Will check in later.

Well Tobago is not its twin brother. It is its little brother that it slaps around every now and again.

Lost his seat....but claims to have influenced the (negative) outcome for Kamla's party by taking some of her party's votes. His ILP had a candidate in every constituency I believe.
