Who remember when you went to the DMV to register your car... or to renew your license--took the entire day!!!

You had to ask your Boss for the day off whenever you go to the DMV back then.

Today, the process should take 1 hour maximum (depending on the day and time you visit).

Vehicle registration is now done by mail.

I renewed my drivers license and it took 'bout 30 minutes!!!

I do that in a few minutes. Apart from getting the car inspected, I sit at my computer with a new inspection certificate and complete the registration in minutes. Just did that last week. They will then mail the new stickers by mail.

Driver's license now get renewed I think it is every 5 years here. Hav to go in then to get photographed, so it is a visit to the DMV. It took about an hour to get that done.

They have a 5 and 8 year renewal option here. I took the 8.

I was told I would have saved some time if I had gone to the DMV website--fill out the application and submit before turning up to get my picture taken.......

I was still gobsmacked by the improvement in efficiency.
