She said her husband jokes that the crime rate back home is so high because we want to keep property prices low and keep all the good things nature has endowed for ourselves. LoL

She also sees that our political leadership paucity is rooted in the cultuer we have of electing people to Government who never have travelled extensively or lived abroad. This causes a blinker mentality and a resistance to new ideas (the reinventing of he wheel syndrome that BenJ speaks of). Her solution: require anyone entering Govt at the cabinet level to have lived abroad for a minimum of 4 years. Dont worry, she knows its not enforceable. LoL
