"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

She is indeed a beautiful woman, and I wish the very best for her as she represents Jamaica (and not just downtown or uptown Kingston)!
Good post, I’man, except for your surprising, rather disappointing statement above, which is probably your way of making a concession to the racist/ridiculously class concerned forumites here.
Regardless of what some people have tried to imply, the fact is that Sanneta Myrie and ALL of those other Miss Jamaica World contestants before her have been Jamaican. That is ALL I need to know.

Without a doubt they are all Jamaican , but we have clearly had a tendency to select lighter skinned, straight hair (real or fake) women in our national beauty contests. That behaviour reinforces the belief that the European standard of beauty is what we should strive for.
That is very damaging to the confidence of our girls, much more so than winning a dozen Miss World titles could ever compensate for.
