Japan’s new robot-staffed hotel to be first of 1,000 worldwide

Tuesday July 21, 2015 – In the Caribbean, where hundreds of thousands of jobs are derived from tourism, the news that the world’s first robot hotel has opened its (obviously automatic) doors in Japan should provide pause for thought.
On an even more thought provoking note, it is hoped that the new five-star property will be the prototype for 1,000 similar hotels around the world.
CNN reports that last week, the first guests checked into the Henn-na Hotel – a name that translates as Strange Hotel – at Huis Ten Bosch, a theme park in Nagasaki Prefecture.
