Greece is on the brink of a historic victory for the no vote against the austerity measures demanded by its international creditors, according to the first results.

Three hours after the polls closed, and with more than 60% of the results counted, the official opinion polls showed the no camp on 61% and the yes camp with about 39%. An official projection from Greece’s interior ministry showed the no votes are set to win with an overwhelming 61% share of the vote.

This was of course very predictable.

What's also predictable is one of the responses of Babylon elements i.e. regime change for the Tsipras government. Look for Babylon traps and propaganda to prepare the ground for regime change. Opposition groups will suddenly be flush with funds, street demonstrations, lurid articles in Babylon media etc etc etc

We've seen this Babylon Movie many times in the past...and Tsipras reminds of Manley... A bruk pakit guvvament ah bun out Babylon Vampiya Shitstem....without a viable alternative in place

The Chiney/Russian/BRICS moves to take advantage of this Babylon disarray will also be inneresting to observe

We're entering a very intriguing period of global affairs fi real..Buckle Up...and Stock Up yuh basement.. Dem ave basement inna Florida more dan suh???

In referencing Manley I'm not equating the Greek economy to 1970s JA. The situations are very different. I'm saying that the charisma and hyperbolic rhetoric of Tsipras in criticizing Babylon (without a good alternative ) reminds me of Manley ...das all

As to the BRICS bank...it's not even established yet and Greece is not even a member...yet.
Additionally even if Greece were to become a member and access credit from the BRICS bank...that source is insufficient. Greek's debt is US$360+ Billion and the BRICS bank will be initially capitalized at only US$50 Billion... Only a small percentage of that could be allocated to Greece...in a year or so perhaps when it's up and running

If Greece doesn't work a deal with the EU...only the China/Russia governments can act quickly enuff to send dem a life jacket before dem drown in chaos

The BRICS countries may sign an agreement on economic integration in the next 5 years, says Russia’s Deputy Economic Development Minister Alexei Likhachev. Russia will offer a ‘road map’ at the BRICS summit in Ufa this week, he said.

Although the group of 5 BRICS countries was initially designed as a “group of allies,” it has started to look like an economic block, Likhachev told TASS Monday.

"Of course, it is premature to talk about a BRICS economic agreement. But if the approach and the crystallization of our association as an international group takes place at the same pace as now, then an economic agreement within a few years will be quite timely and inevitable. I think it can happen within five years," he said.

Opposition Spokesperson on Finance Audley Shaw argues that the rejection of international bailout terms suggests the Greek government must have an alternative to grow the economy and improve lives.
The parliamentary Opposition says Jamaica should take lessons from Greece’s debt situation to ensure austerity measures are balanced by efforts to drive growth in the economy.

Where is socialism?? The fact is if you can't grow your economy you are in trouble. IMF or no IMF economic growth is very important. Something we take for granted and find all the excuse we want to excuse it away.

Fact is we can talk it away all we want but reality will set in.

Talks over other countries membership in BRICS bank premature: Putin's aide

The NDB was created in July 2014 by an agreement between BRICS member states to mobilize resources for infrastructure and sustainable development projects. The countries also agreed to establish a $100-billion liquidity reserve to maintain the bank's financial stability.

"The new bank is open for inclusion of any country. The activity of the bank has an open character. However, it is not topical right now, as its activities, the bank will be launched after the Ufa [BRICS] summit. Of course, it is necessary to see how the bank will function," Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
