by apologizing for it's role in slavery. It should go further and apologise for Jim Crow. Then it must solemnly pledge to do all in its power to rid the country of every vestige, every law, that creates and maintains a caste system in the USA.

If we can't get an apology from the govt. while Barack is president, it may never happen.
