THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Ken Burns Weighs in on Confederate Flag
It’s resistance to civil rights, not heritage.
Filmmaker Ken Burns appeared on Morning Joe to talk about the symbolism and history of the Confederate flag. Burns, whose nine-part PBS series The Civil War will be rebroadcast this September, clearly laid out the flag’s meaning. “This is not about heritage,” Burns said. “This is about resistance to civil rights.”

I watched all of the series.

It is a truly great series, as all of Ken Burns documentaries that I have watched are.

Of course he is totally correct on the flag issue. the only reason SC seceded was because they were scared that Lincoln would abolish slavery although he had only promised to "contain" it during his campaign.

The "States Rights" argument is always used as a last resort in US politics when a position is becoming indefensible.
