Obama of course , he is an academic and politician, West is a philosopher and academic.
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

It is a hypothetical question, neither could have been the president, and besides West could have easily been a politician if there was a party he could identify with.
There are two current issues (police unjustifiably targeting minorities, and the reluctance to call what Roof did terrorism). You can't miss something you never had, hence the lack of a robust approach by the federal govt goes unnoticed.West would have withheld whatever federal resources now available to police departments..,and not be reluctant to call Roof's action terrorism which would start an investigation into Roof's support group.
Do you think Obama does not have a totally different personal belief than the one he portrays publicly regarding the middle east,do you think Obama does not see what Roof did as terrorism?
There is a script he has to follow.

There probably would not be any declaration of independence until my people are free if West was the president during that era.

As you said given the hypothetical West could never have been president because he couldnt identify with a party , it only confirms my belief that they both know their roles and the cards that must be played.
