LOL... I've seen that Jim Rickards ting. It's all over the net. The fellow is selling his books and pushing some stocks for personal profit...so his motivations & conclusions are suspect.

However this does not discount all of his prognostications. His conclusions are one possible rollout scenario...out of many

So since it is POSSIBLE.... we should build this into contingency planning and asset portfolios (don't wait on the perfect business climate please, storms can appear out of the blue )

...Especially those of us blessed with big obligations like... kids, baby moddas...and multiple lady friends....

While there is always the possibility of a major global financial collapse, I rather doubt the ability of the CIA or any government-based organization to accurately predict the timing of any such thing. They couldn't even predict 9-11 or the unintended consequences of the Iraq war.

Nicholas Taleb has done some good work on how to cope with these so-called Black Swan events.

I agree...It's too complex for people at his or much less our level to know the timing of such things

With the tectonic shifts now underway in the World...Any number between War & Peace can play.... But history teaches us that Global War is INEVITABLE at some point... and it seems more likely now than say 20 years ago when the Soviet Union disintegrated.

The timing is unknown...it may be in our lifetime...or our children's. Either way it's best to be prepared imho

Don and Island unnuh memba when I said that China is trying to prop up the third and developing world by incresaing trade to undermine americas global influence and it would happen in 15 years ,thats was about 3 - 5 years ago,now the BRICS get launched, the war in UKraine has sped that timeline up, the war in the UKriane is a proxy war ,Russia vs the West, and russia is winning, these sanctions are weak, the de dollorization has sped up .

If western sanctions couldnt topple little Iran with sanctions, how so the Bear Russia ? Point is American forgein policy is being out flanked, the IMF and WB are vestiges of the past, unless they get into infrastructure and trade like CHINA, it will prove to be the spear that babylon falls on.
