    Memories
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Mase really added a new dimension to the Knicks when he came on the scene out of what seemed to be nowhere. Brought a lot of intensity and presence to that Knicks physical game, nobody better even be thinking about driving in the paint.

Knicks style defense at that time could also be instructive to reggae boyz style of playing defense, collapse space and press hard, harass and torment players and create chaos, that requires superior fitness, full commitment and intensity of desire, those players are out there just need to find them and get out of the business of cool and low key supposedly skilled players who have neither the intensity, desire, fitness, physical strength or speed to play that style.

Mason, Oakley and starkes epitomized that physical, intense defensive style that almost got them the championship. I lived and died a Knicks far during that era.

      Very sad new for me.

I met Anthony Mason for the first time in 2012 (i think). He came in to my store to do business. He later became a regular customer--and we chatted quite a bit.

Thanks also for the good basketball memories ....

      Rest in peace Mace:

RIP Anthony Mason. A lot of people said he was a good guy off the court.
