The Jamaican Government has now conceded that it is expecting economic expansion for the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, to be far lower than previously projected.
Finance Ministry data tabled in Parliament on Thursday show growth for the 2014/2015 fiscal year is now expected to be 0.3%.
That is much lower than the one per cent revised growth projection, which was projected by Finance Minister Dr. Peter Phillips as late as December.
