  • Andrew Holness has slipped into political delusion

I cannot see the JLP getting its act together to face the PNP in the next three, or six months in an election. The JLP would do well to consider the election options available to the prime minister. It would do well to advise itself that its leader is living in a dream world of duppy threats to his life, apologies which are shams, and a team of people that cannot discern its head from its tail.

All of the promises that were inherent in the ascendancy of Holness to the leadership of the JLP have been shot to pieces. One would have thought that with a lead in the opinion polls he would have done the decent thing and, even if he could not find it in himself to offer a resignation, simply say, 'I made a huge error,' reach out and bring back all into the fold.

He cannot do this because it is not written in the leadership DNA of the JLP.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

FORMER Prime Minister Bruce Golding yesterday said he does not take personal responsibility for the mass loss of lives in Tivoli Gardens during the May 2010 operation to apprehend the then community don Christopher 'Dudus' Coke.

      Interesting!
...more because it points to a JLP far worse as leaders than the PNP. Look if Mark is on the money...and everything points to him being right...then the JLP as leaders are not!

Where then does that leave the country?

Ahh yuh seeit, I have been pointing out to ites here that Jamaica needs a strong opposition to advocate a different path ,some here believe that being in opposition and not governing it absolves them from that right in democracy,in adda words wiat till di PNP screw up.It took them 18 years the last time,it seems as if they are hell bent on doing same.

I am starting to wonder if the PNP has infiltrated the JLP and some of its top leaders are really comrades.

It is difficult to comprehend how they consistently find ways not to be electable. Very difficult.

and how unfortnunate is that given the state of the country ..... "poised for takeoff"? people really need to start considering alternatives to the 2. jlp's faux pas means that pnp in reality has no competiton for the job to run the country and that does not bode well for standards
