I cannot see the JLP getting its act together to face the PNP in the next three, or six months in an election. The JLP would do well to consider the election options available to the prime minister. It would do well to advise itself that its leader is living in a dream world of duppy threats to his life, apologies which are shams, and a team of people that cannot discern its head from its tail.
All of the promises that were inherent in the ascendancy of Holness to the leadership of the JLP have been shot to pieces. One would have thought that with a lead in the opinion polls he would have done the decent thing and, even if he could not find it in himself to offer a resignation, simply say, 'I made a huge error,' reach out and bring back all into the fold.
He cannot do this because it is not written in the leadership DNA of the JLP.
