Loretta Lynch had them at Jim Crow.

Senate Republicans had delayed confirmation hearings for President Obama’s attorney general nominee until they took control of Congress — giving them a chance to use the nomination to protest Obama’s immigration policy and other actions by Obama and the outgoing attorney general, Eric Holder.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Pot Reformers Aren't Afraid of Loretta Lynch
The attorney general nominee says she opposes legalization, but pot advocates don’t see her as a threat.

“I can tell you that not only do I not support the legalization of marijuana, it is not the position of the Department of Justice currently to support the legalization. Nor would it be the position should I become confirmed as attorney general.

Nervous ....hard to see a manhathan DA saying and believing that....Thompson from Brooklyn is the real deal, the work he is doing is remarkable.

Thanks for posting this Mr. X.

I did not have the time to follow the hearing.

      Hope she gets the appointment.

Brooklyn DA expanding wrongful conviction reviews beyond murder cases
Kenneth Thompson’s office has already had 11 wrongful murder convictions tossed and he announced Wednesday he’s expanding case reviews to non-homicide felony cases

Having already gotten 11 wrongful murder convictions tossed, Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth Thompson said he’s expanding his quest to reverse injustices in non-homicide felony cases.

Brooklyn DA Ken Thompson gains national acclaim his first year

By all accounts, Thompson has worked hard to keep his campaign promises. He quickly implemented a policy to ignore low-level marijuana possession arrests, leading to 925 dismissals. In November, the de Blasio administration announced a similar citywide policy.

“We were first,” Thompson said. “We showed the city, and country, that we had a reasonable policy.”
