  • The term "Best in the World"

    is frequently used by the talking heads in the media. The other day during the hostage crisis in Australia, the police chief, in his press conference said that the hostage negotiator was the best in the world. I thought, really? The USA would want to say something different if the incident was here. The NYPD also uses the term, best police force in the world quite frequently, not to mention the US Army. How do they come to these conclusions.
