Digicel concerned about CWC-Columbus merger

Digicel, the largest competitor for Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC), which operates the company, LIME, in the Caribbean has responded to the pending purchase of Columbus International by CWC with a note of concern.
In a press statement, released on Thursday afternoon, Digicel said, while the full details of the proposed merger have not yet been made public, "Digicel is naturally concerned about the clear and obvious challenges and potential issues posed by such a proposed move from a regulatory and competition perspective."
