Obama makes rare campaign trail appearance, people leave early

UPPER MARLBORO Md. (Reuters) - President Barack Obama made a rare appearance on the campaign trail on Sunday with a rally to support the Democratic candidate for governor in Maryland, but early departures of crowd members while he spoke underscored his continuing unpopularity.

With approval levels hovering around record lows, Obama has spent most of his campaign-related efforts this year raising money for struggling Democrats, who risk losing control of the U.S. Senate in the Nov. 4 midterm election.

...did he have any leaving early when he was campaigning for himself during his runs for the presidency?

One thing we cannot run away from the media is giving the Democrats hell! ...many are overtly making comments supporting the Republicans. None of those comments more silly than Chuck Todd's stating that Allison Grimes comment in response to a question on whether or not she voted for President Obama disqualifies her from being in Congress.

Lest we forget Grimes is running against Mitch McConnell. McConnell has made it no secret that he is staking his re-election on a campaign of running against President Obama.

In response to the question, Grimes stated she is on the ballot and is the one running against Mitch and that is her focus. She also said she is a Clinton Democrat as she stayed away from taking the bait of making the expected reply that would underscore or introduce Mitch McConnell's campaign theme of Obama as central figure in their race into the interview.

It must have been obvious to even Chuck Todd what she was attempting...but...claiming her answer disqualified her????

I think his low approval ratings are more of a negative factor in mid-term elections though.

I expect that we will see him on the Presidential campaign trail fairly often when Hillary or whoever the Dems go with are in full campaign stride.
