THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Funny as it may sound today but Jamaica had a lot more direct connection in terms of trade and movement of people between Jamaica and Carolina's that Jamaica and the other West Indian islands. When sail is the main method of movement moving from Ja to Carolina's and reverse is easier than Ja to other West Indian islands.

They use nyam and they use unno(unna) as well. The grammatical structure of Gulla is also quite similar overall.

Also fascinating are the similarities between Anansi stories and Brer Rabbit stories told in the American South. The Tar Baby stories for both characters are one and the same. Both have African origins, Anansi is more Akan, Brer Rabbit is more Bantu. Most Americans, including African Americans, think Uncle Remus invented those Brer Rabbit stories.
