Racism? White attorney protects black man from black cop

A black handy man who worked in white neighborhood was rescued by a white attorney who chased away a black cop (there was a 2nd cop in the car) and accused her (them) of racism.

Was it racism?
What would have happened if a black attorney tried the same thing?
