Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller is chiding sections of the media for what she characterised as unbalanced reporting on political matters.
Mrs. Simpson-Miller charged that seven minutes of a news bulletin was dedicated to the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) on one television station.
She calculates that the same newscast spent only two minutes on the People’s National Party (PNP).
While not providing supporting evidence, Mrs. Simpson Miller warned supporters to be on the alert for what she described as sinister advertisements.
She claimed that these ads, allegedly designed by the JLP, will be reminiscent of the politics of the 1970's.
The PNP President argued that they should be ignored because the country had long moved beyond the politics of that era.
