I can understand the possible motive of not wanting to destabilize tourist industry but...

Still, for some reason, Jamaicans feel that a bag a mosquito is the norm. There must be a drive to get rid of mosquitoes throughout the length and breadth of Jamaica. If that means removing garbage and keeping it removed, then do so!!!!

Dengue, malaria, West Nile virus, chickengunman...mosquito borne diseases have been plaguing Jamaica for decades.

I read that, "Traditional mosquito methods of truck-mounted and aerial sprays are ineffective in controlling these mosquitoes. Removal of water-bearing containers and sanitation are key preventive strategies." So, NSWMA needs to step up and play its part. All those plastic containers that litter the entire island, time to ban them or do a much better job managing their disposal.
