Government moving ahead with entertainment registry

Despite the absence of crucial infrastructure the Government is pressing ahead with the establishment of the entertainment registry.
State Minister for Entertainment, Damian Crawford, says entertainers have been signing up manually as the Ministry is awaiting the completion of the procurement process to set up the website.
He did not say how many persons have signed up so far.
The registry will be used to certify entertainers and be a single repository for data on practitioners in the industry.

Who knows? It could possibly be a one stop location for emerging artists to showcase their work, career mentoring etc.

if done properly it can be a decent thing but if done for the taxes and just to put government pressure on the industry it will not work out good.

Entertainers and artists are usually very skeptical of government involvement.
