Follow line?!

I know we have a lot of knowledge and experience on this forum, anybody ever heard of a "follow line" relative to really bad drought conditions and the need to walk long distances to find food and water.

Very interested in hearing some information on this especially if you have older ones more than 80 living close by to ask.

TDowl, MdmeX, Karl, you all never heard anything about this before, if you can check with older crew in family if you are able. Seem like this was a pretty regular thing during drought times pre ww11.
