Key Witness In Mario Deane Case Escapes Custody, Now What?

    Published: Tuesday September 16, 2014 | 5:59 pm2 Comments
Deputy Commissioner of the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM), Hamish Campbell, says there are provisions in law should a witness be unable to give evidence in court for any reason.

His comments come amid reports that 21-year-old Fahdean Ferguson, who was an alleged witness to the beating of Mario Deane, escaped from the Freeport police station where he was taken for an identification parade.

Set up .Where is the JFJ , I hope you guys dont step in after dem ketch im for a spliff and murder im.
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"Good things come out of the garrisons" after his daughter won the 100m Gold For Jamaica.

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Very interesting twist/article to the MD case...So much international coverage and no money to give the man a decent burial. What agenda are being played out here. While there definitely needs to be a change of approach, the continued bashing of Jamaica like its the worse is not justified. Few questions that comes to mind?
Are there no criminal killings in the US prisons?
Are Jacan cops the only people who punish inmates/citizens for disrespecting cops? Doesn't this happen everywhere....and I'm sure places like the US have a nice human rights record
Does pressure on Jamaica need to include pushing internal partners to cut funding? How about restrict funding to human rights improvement effort including training, prison revamp and transformation?

Don't get me wrong, I fully support efforts to avoid a repeat of what happen. But the motives of some of these people...I wonder if they really care about Jamaica Land we love
