  • Paid consultants in the Ganja War

Take, for example, Dr. Herbert Kleber of Columbia University. Kleber has impeccable academic credentials.....drug companies, including Purdue Pharma (the maker of OxyContin), Reckitt Benckiser (the producer of a painkiller called Nurofen), and Alkermes (the producer of a powerful new opioid called Zohydro).

Dr. A. Eden Evins, an associate professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, is a frequent critic of efforts to legalize marijuana. She is on the board of an anti-marijuana advocacy group, .....Pfizer has moved aggressively into the $7.3 billion painkiller market

Dr. Mark L. Kraus, who runs a private practice and is a board member to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, submitted testimony in 2012 in opposition to a medical marijuana ......addiction to opioids such as OxyContin and Vicodin. These academics, with quiet funding

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

Were they funded by billion dollar corporations over decades , better yet was there any conflict of interest when presenting papers in medical journals? History will show in medical academia that those clinicians on the side of legalization ,decriminalization, had little to no funding or conflicted interest before Wall Street hijacked the ganja movement.

Up to this day, they are still underfunded when compared to these charlatans ,yet continue to gain favor because their colored science (Drug companies) is being rejected by the common man with common sense..

It seems to escape everyone's memory but NIDA granted research to a pharmaceutical company in KY in 2013 to produce a "skin patch" with a cannabis topical salve in it to be used as an exit drug for rehab centers,,,the government knows it is an exit drug but they want the pharmaceutical companies to make their cut instead of people growing their own medicine,,it is why the FDA exists,,to keep self medication choked down.
