KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Attorney and gay-rights activist Maurice Tomlinson is pressing to have legal action taken against local television stations TVJ and CVM despite a constitutional court ruling in favour of the stations last November.
Tomlinson has filed an appeal against the ruling in which he sought to have three national television stations air an advertisement promoting tolerance of homosexuals. He is now appealing against only two of those stations.
