PRESCRIPTION opioid painkillers like Percocet, Vicodin and OxyContin have come under intense scrutiny in recent years because of the drastic rise in overdose deaths associated with their prolonged use. Meanwhile, access to medical marijuana has been expanding — 23 states and the District of Columbia have legalized its broad medical use — and chronic or severe pain is by far the most common condition reported among people using it

This has the medical community in chaos as I type,at least caught its attention with an uppercut, the implications are far fectched.Smoking a plant has proven to have medicinal benefits in a scientific study at the expense of legal opiods.

The arguement is over, how can they spin this ?
THERE IS ONLY ONE ONANDI LOWE!

"It therefore is useless and pointless, unless it is for share malice and victimisation to arrest and charge a 92-year-old man for such a simple offence. There is nothing morally wrong with this man smoking a spliff; the only thing wrong is that it is still on the law books," said Chevannes.

    Robbing for painkillers

Tracking devices have been used by some pharmacies in the city since early 2013 when the NYPD began encouraging pharmacies to use dummy pill bottles fit with the devices in an effort to cut down on the theft of painkillers.
Though Friday's incident may be the first in which the NYPD has found a suspect with the devices, they have led to the apprehension of 111 suspects nationwide, said a spokesman for Purdu Pharma, which makes OxyContin, the brand name for oxycodone painkiller. The company declined further comment Friday.

Long Island pharmacists talk of the twitchy arrivals who meander around, peering at the ceiling. They talk of the “pharmacy shoppers” who call up, give no name, and wonder if the place has oddly copious quantities of a narcotic painkiller, usually oxycodone. No, we don’t, they will be told. They suspect the caller is a robber, casing a target.

Never heard of anyone robbing to smoke the addictive spliff.
